Additionally, Alessandro Leonardi (ESoDoc 2024) will pitch his project "Now You See It" in the Co-production Forum at WEMW. The project tells the story of a young physicist on the brink of a sensational discovery, grappling with depression and academic setbacks while evading in the strange world of quantum physics. What happens when you venture to the edge of human thought and end up losing your mind.

Also, Ion Gnatiuc (ESoDoc 2019) will pitch "Electing Ms Santa" by Raisa Razmerita at Last Stop Trieste. The film follows 42-year-old Elena, who defies social norms and family duties in a remote Moldovan village, embarking on a transformative journey to gain control of her life and pursue her dreams, even if it means leaving everything behind.

We're also happy to announce that "Tata" by Lina Vdovîi (ESoDoc 2020) and Radu Ciorniciuc (ESoDoc 2018) will celebrate its Italian premiere at the Trieste Film Festival as part of the Documentaries in Competition selection. Tata is a raw portrait of a family locked in a relentless struggle against toxic masculinity. It tells the story of a daughter’s emotionally poignant quest to break the cycle for herself, the next generation, and even for the one who hurt her.
The film is Lina Vdovîi’s feature-length directorial debut. The film premiered at TIFF in 2024.
"Tata" will be screened on January 21, at 8.00 pm at Cinema Ambasciatori.
