Dancing on the stage in a red dress – this is how Maradia remembers Eldino, the leading actress of her grandmother’s performances.
Maradia was a child in post war Georgia, sitting next to her beloved grandmother and watching her on the stage. They haven’t met since then. Eldino emigrated to Europe. Maradia’s grandmother Nana passed away.
After 20 years, Maradia finds footage of the performances and reaches out to Eldino, who is planning to come to Georgia for the first time. Eldino is excited and nervous at the same time, to face dreams that she missed.
Before that, the two start to travel in time, when Nana moved to a small town with the mission to stage in the theatre and bring hope to the abandoned place.
Under the conversation of two women and through the archive footage we see a country in war and its aftermath, and we meet two women - one, who never gave up her belief that art is the only survival, and another one, who had to sacrifice her art, in order to survive.
