"Nowhere to hide" wins Best Film Award at One World 2017

"Nowhere to hide" - the latest documentary by ESoDoc alumni Zaradasht Ahmed - won the Best Film Award at One World 2017, one of the major human rights documentary film festival in the world.

"Nowhere to hide" - which won IDFA Award for Best Feature Length Documentary - tells the story of a man struggling for survival in Iraq, where war has become the norm. The enemy is invisible, and neither women nor children have a safe hideout.

From the jury's statement:

"Thanks to the courage of its protagonist and the dedication of its filmmaker who doesn't take no for an answer, this best film award not only allowed us to witness the life of a family man and a proud professional in circumstances that none of us wishes to experience, but also gave us unique access to a country torn apart"
