WALLS is a documentary project from inside the walls of Greenland's prisons and correctional institutions. The stories are filmed and told by the inmates themselves with small go-pro cameras and few guidelines. The tales are tough, sometimes aggressive, but also full of playfulness, creativity and intimacy.
The institution of Nuuk, Greenland's capital, normally house up to 56 inmates inmates. The women's department can house 6, but most often only 2-3 women are there. Sometimes only one. And that one person is Ruth.
