Luisa Bäde

Born 1988 in Gera/ former GDR. After various short films and work as an assistant director for film & TV, she completed her diploma studies with honors at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and the Universidad National de Colombia in 2022. In addition to dealing with her East German origins, she works on her topics from a intersectional feminist perspective with her developed participatory documentary working method of performative strategies. Her documentary debut "Solange Sie noch Arme haben" (2019, 92min) was shown and awarded at national and international festivals (Best Central and Eastern European Film at Sibiu International Film Festival 2020), her diploma film "MAMiTA" (2023, 102min) was funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. With the development funding of Film- und Medienstiftung NRW she is currently working on her next documentary film about the first eastgerman post-reunification generation and is researching methods to further develop her working methods.
