Miguel Angel Herrera

Miguel Angel Herrera is a director, producer, director of photography, and editor. His recent filmography includes “Unsubmissive” (2023), “Occupation Inc.” (2020), “The Hosts” (2020), and his films – always centered on human rights issues – have been seen at festivals such as the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Malaga Film Festival, the São Paulo International Film Festival, and the San Sebastián International Human Rights Films Festival. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Media (Politécnico Grancolombiano, Colombia), and a specialization in Film and TV Production. In 2012 he co-founded Forward Films, a documentary production company focused on social, environmental and human rights issues. Miguel Angel is also a proud member of Docma (Spanish Documentary Film Association).
