Sila Unlu Intepe

Born in Turkey in 1982, Sıla Ünlü İntepe is an award-winning short film director. She holds a BA in Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design from Sabanci University, as well as a film directing degree from FAMU (Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague). She is an alumna of Berlinale Talent Campus in Directing. She completed the producer course with Zeynep Atakan in 2011 and the feature length screenwriting workshop at the Gotham Writers New York in 2016. In 2016-2017 she coordinated the revitalization project of the Turkish Cinematheque. In 2014, she founded her production company in Istanbul, through which she has directed, produced and edited over a hundred commercial videos.
Recently she graduated as Veterinary Technician, willing to integrate her knowledge on animals into her documentary work. She is currently working on her first feature length documentary film, Animalium Istanbul and wishes to work on many more documentaries on subjects that excites her.
