My first documentary project was born out of curiosity and served as my final project during my undergraduate studies of Media Science. I aimed to explore Ghana, my father's country, beyond my family circle. Traveling throughout the country, I collaborated with seven different women to uncover female realities, challenges, and strengths. The experience of this project and the subsequent sharing of its results were incredibly fulfilling, inspiring me to pursue a career in documentary filmmaking. I then attended Filmuniversity Babelsberg Konrad Wolf and created two short films: "Stick of Joy" (2020) and "A Way of Breathing" (2020) and my first feature-length documentary, "The Homes We Carry" (2022). Following this, I directed the documentary series "Family of Choice". My films so far explore themes of empowerment, queerness, identity and migration. Also, I am passionate about circus arts and share my love for it with children as a circus instructor. I also work as a doc curator.
