Julia Lemos Lima is a Brazilian filmmaker and journalist with a wide range of experience from broadcast television to online platforms in Brazil and in the UK. Julia has worked for TV Globo, the largest TV network in Latin America, and has directed a series for VH1/Viacom Brazil. She completed a master's in Documentary Filmmaking from Goldsmiths College in 2016, in London, and ever since has been acting as researcher, producer, editor and director. Julia is a One World Media fellow and has received commissions from media outlets such as BBC Reel and Mongabay, where she currently works as a video producer. Julia's authorial films approach women's issues and have been screened at London Feminist Film Festival, Cineffable - Paris International Lesbian & Feminist Film Festival and Rio Film Festival. One of her latest shorts - a documentary about the environmental group Extinction Rebellion - won a Bronze award at EVCOM Clarion Awards, in 2020, and a Learning on Screen Awards in 2022
