Mariam Bitsadze, a Georgian documentary film producer, holds a background in Psychology and Foreign Relations. She founded the production company 17/07, specializing in art-house short films and documentaries, driven by her interest in social issues, remote mountain communities, and the people there. Mariam actively collaborates with European productions periodically.
Her fiction film, "The Feast" is set to premiere in 2023. Mariam is dedicated to supporting emerging women directors from South Caucasus, exemplified by her latest project, "Heart, don't be afraid" by director Ana Kvichidze, which received IDFA Bertha fund support. Currently participating in ESO Doc 2023, she serves on the board of DOCA and is a member of DAE & EWA.
