Angelika Herta

Angelika Herta is a filmmaker and video artist living in Cologne/Germany. In her work she experiments with visual forms. Her short film ""The best way"", was nominated for the German Short Film Award in the category short experimental in 2015. Her long documentary ""Life could be so beautiful"" was awarded the prize for best student film at the International Documentary Film Festival in Jihlava in 2019. She graduated in 2021 from the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, where she received the ""SHOOT"" prize for young artists for her artistic work. Angelika is a member of the film collective ""Dokomotive"", a Cologne-based platform for artistic documentary film, and works as a lecturer for documentary film at the Alanus University, among others.
