Stefano Strocchi
Independent Documentary Producer (IT)

Stefano Strocchi is an independent documentary producer and author from Italy. He worked extensively as producer on international co- productions since 2001, focusing on character driven stories, social issues, current afairs and history. Among his productions: “Almost Married” by F. Bucak (IDFA First Appearence Competition 2010), the cross-media project “From Zero-Stories from Earthquake tent camps” in co-production with Jazeera English (IDFA 2009, TFF2009, Bellaria 2010), and “Return to L'Aquila” by Giotto Barbieri in co-production with Al Jazeera English (2011). In 2013 he wrote and directed the feature doc “La Politica” in co-production with ZDF/ARTE,DR,VRT and NRK.

Since 2014 he is based in Berlin where he works as author and producer on series and feature documentaries. He wrote and produced the 3 part series “1968mm” directed by Jerry Rothwell, Felix Kriegsheim and Stefano Strocchi produced by Boekamp Kriegsheim GMBH, RBB/ARTE, NRK, YLE, CZTV and A+E Italy (2017) and he co-wrote and produced the feature documentary “Commander Arian” by Alba Sotorra (2018) which premiered in international competition in Toronto Hot Docs 2018, Shefeld Doc Fest 2018 and Shanghai Documentray Festival 2018.
