Maroussia Klep
Belgium
Maroussia currently works as documentary filmmaker and writer from Brussels. Previously, she worked for several years as a reporter and policy analyst at the UN, EU institutions and OECD on development and ecological issues. In 2015, she decided to quit her job and launch a filmmaking agency, Impact Storytelling, in order to open up new perspectives on societal issues and increase the positive impact of NGOs and associations.
One of her latest project included the making of a film and publication of a book (Etre et devenir femme) on the stories of women in Brazil, Benin, Burkina Faso, France and Cambodia who managed to overcome severe obstacles and take hold of their future. The film is essentially being shown in developing countries in order to share stories of hope and courage with women facing similar difficulties.
She studied international affairs at Sciences Po Paris and pursued a training in documentary filmmaking at the MET Film School in Berlin.
