Chris Belloni

Chris Belloni (1980) comes from a family of four including a twin brother. He grew op in Haarlem, The Netherlands and studied Political Sciences and European Studies at the University of Amsterdam. He graduated for his masters in 2006.

Belloni (1980) directed and co-produced two documentary films so far:
- The Turkish Boat (2013) - international premiere: Tel-Aviv International LGBT Film Festival, June 2013
‘THE TURKISH BOAT’ (2013), a film about two Turkish gay activists who live in Amsterdam and fight for recognition and acceptance in their community. Currently Belloni works on a film about the Amsterdam pink police force.
- I am gay and Muslim (2012) - international premiere Pink Apple Zurich, May 2012
‘I AM GAY AND MUSLIM’ focuses on gay rights in Morocco. In this documentary Belloni follows a number of young gay men in Morocco in their exploration of their religious and sexual identity.

Currently working on PROUD TO BE YOUR FRIEND (2015).
