ESoDoc Public events in Vilnius

pitchThe second residential session of ESoDoc 2024 is taking place in Vilnius (LT) from October 11 to 18. In these days - in partnership with Inconvenient Films - we also organised events open to the public. Join us in Vilnius! 

 

These include the Industry Day on October 14, where we invited representatives from the film, games, cultural, and creative industries to discuss about industry changes and challenges. Topics will include a variety of storytelling methods, the involvement of new media, audience design, impact, independent filmmaking, the importance of artificial intelligence, and more. Here's the full programme of the day: 

9:30 - Austėja Milvydaitė (Creative Europe MEDIA): Opportunities for documentary filmmakers

10:15 - Lucie Formánková (Charles Games): Tackling Serious Topics in Gaming

11:15 - Coffee break

11:45 - Hans Block (Director): Digital doppelganger and immortality and in the age of artificial intelligence

12:45 - Lunch break

14:30 - Margje De Koning (Movies That Matter): What is a movie that matters?

15:30 - Laura Longobardi (FIFDH - Impact Days): Better Reach Out! Impact strategies for new audiences

16:30 - Coffee break

17:00 - Panel Discussion: Documentary Dreams – New ways for engaging storytelling?

18:00 - Closing notes

 

The session will then culminate with ESoDoc Final Pitch, the presentation of the 18 projects developed throughout ESoDoc 2024, and 2 guest projects which joined the ESoDoc group in Vilnius. 

The projects will be presented on October 15 and 16, from 9:30 to 13:30
