Jonny von Wallström

Jonny von Wallström was born in Gävle (Sweden) in 1982. He was trained as a photographer and cinematographer at Kulturama and the Gävle University College. He started out as a documentary photographer, but after being introduced to the art of documentary film making by working as a cinematographer for various swedish tv-shows he has never looked back. In 2009 he started working on his debut documentary Zero Silence which premiered as Official Selection at Sheff Doc/Fest in 2011. The movie started out with the aim to capture the oppressed Arab youth, but ended up capturing a revolution in the making. Today he mixes working as a cinematographer and editor for all the major tv-stations in Sweden, with working with his own production company Rough Studios AB, where he focuses on realizing his passion projects.
